** All puppies here at LAAT WEIMS will leave on a spay/neuter contract with no exceptions! Proof of your dog's spay/neuter will be required to release your limited AKC papers to you. {This will be in effect starting June 1, 2023}

Health Guarantee

Buyer has paid a deposit of $200.00 electronic payment through Good Dog and the balance is due upon release of the puppy/dog to Buyer. Payment of the balance must be made by CASH only! Buyer acknowledges and agrees that the deposit is non-refundable along with any money sent electronically (including fees for mileage). Buyer will forfeit the deposit and any rights to the puppy/ dog if; Buyer fails to complete the purchase of the puppy/dog for any reason, or in the event that the puppy/ dog is not available due to sickness, death, or any other circumstance owing to the fault of Seller, Buyer’s deposit will, at Buyer’s option, be either (I) refunded, or (ii) transferred to a puppy/dog in the next litter. Upon payment in full of the Purchase Price, Seller will wait 2 weeks for an official name from the buyer for that specific puppy. Once a name is received, the seller will then register that puppy in the buyer's new name. If the buyer does not contact the seller back, the seller can name the puppy whatever name the seller likes and chooses with the new buyers given last name. Seller represents and warrants to Buyer that Seller is the legal and true owner of the puppy/dog and that Seller has full right and authority to sell the puppy/dog. The puppy/dog is being sold free and clear of any lien, security interest, charge or other encumbrance. Seller does not assume responsibility for any other veterinary bills or other expenses incurred by the purchaser/buyer on behalf of the puppy/dog after the puppy/dog has left possession of the Seller. Seller guarantees that the puppy/dog is AKC purebred, offspring of the purebred Sire and purebred Dam. The puppy/dog is in good health and free of communicable diseases at the time of this sale. Buyer has 2 days from purchase date to have the puppy/dog examined by a licensed veterinarian, at Buyer’s sole cost. If the puppy/dog fails the examination, Buyer may return the puppy/dog, with a written statement and bill from two licensed veterinarians, for a partial refund. {Deposits are non- refundable} Failure by Buyer to have the puppy/dog examined within the 2-day period will nullify this warranty! If the Buyer chooses to keep the puppy/dog, no replacement will be given, and all medical costs and treatment are the sole responsibility of the Buyer. This health guarantee will be null and void. It is up to me, the breeders, to decide when the puppy/dog will be ready to go to his/her new home. Usually at the age of 8 weeks, depending on the current health, weight of the puppy and how well it is weaned from the mother, etc. I will not under any circumstances let the puppy leave until I feel it is ready! The Dog will have been vet checked, dew claws removed, tails docked, its first set of shots, dewormed, microchipped (if available) and deemed in good health by a licensed veterinarian at the time of the sale. The Dog will be up to date on all shots and deworming at the time of pickup. It is very important to continue the vaccinations and deworming to have a healthy and happy puppy/dog. *Documentation must be sent to the breeder within 5 days in order for the Health Guarantee to be honored. This Guarantee does NOT cover heart murmurs, cherry eye, entropion, allergies, colds, undescended testicles, stenotic nares, elongated soft palate, umbilical hernia, dermatitis, external or internal parasites, mange, puppy demodex, OFA evaluations, dew claw regrowth or under / overbite. Sellers will NOT replace a puppy due to heat stroke, abuse/neglect, or improper socialization. The Buyer agrees to maintain preventative care of the puppy in regard to hip dysplasia, such as proper nutrition, proper exercise, and preventing stress injuries (i.e. not allowing the puppy to jump from heights taller than itself at the shoulder, no forced exercise such as running, until at least 12 months of age, no climbing of stairs, or anything else that would be strenuous to the hip joints.)  The buyer further understands that this puppy is not being sold with a guarantee against Canine Hip Dysplasia, as that condition can be caused by environmental situations that are not within the control of the seller once buyer assumes possession. OFA- or Hip evaluations cannot be performed before the age of 2 years old. Buyer agrees that they have thoroughly researched the Weimaraner breed and understand the many health issues they can possess. Buyer is responsible for all medical costs of their puppy/dog. This guarantee covers only the original Buyer and is not transferable to anyone other than the sole and original Buyer. The breeder assumes no responsibility for training difficulties, behavior problems, crate training or potty training, etc. The breeder does not guarantee size; there are too many variables and genetics to count for. I can give the buyer an educated guess but can give nothing more than that.

  ** (NO BREEDING RIGHTS WILL BE GIVEN- initial here ________/_________) *

Limited AKC Registration, never to be used for breeding purposes, and to be spayed or neutered at the appropriate age. It does allow any and all placements into hunt and field tests, tracking, agility, companion dog etc. This puppy is being sold on Limited Registration. This means the puppy is to never be bred and is required to be spayed/neutered by 12 months. Proof of spay/neutered is required. If a puppy is not spayed/neutered before the required 12 months, my entire warranty is nulled. If found that this puppy/dog is bred either intentionally or unintentionally, this contract is considered breached and buyer forfeits the puppy back to breeder, the entire litter will belong to LAAT WEIMS and the entire contract is void, and a monetary penalty of $10,000 will be issued to Buyer. Buyer will also be responsible for any court fees regarding breach of contract. No other registration of ANY KIND is to be done on the dog at any time during its lifetime. If you register the dog under another registry, I will be forced to take legal action!

Buyer will have the Dog spayed or neutered by the age of 12 months old. No exceptions! The puppy/dog will reside with Buyer as companion pet to Buyer and Buyer’s family. Buyer will keep the puppy/dog in an enclosed area of adequate size and will not allow the puppy/dog to roam at will. Buyer will provide the puppy/dog with nutritious food and necessary veterinary care, including deworming, heartworm prevention and regular vaccinations (including rabies).  Buyer is not acting as an agent for any other person or business in the purchase of the puppy/dog. Buyer will not sell, give, or release the dog to a pet shop, retail store, dog dealer, animal testing facility, research facility, or an agent for any such business or facility, etc. If any action or failure to act on the part of Buyer shall result in any claim, suit, loss, damage, injury, death, or liability, Buyer agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold Seller harmless and to pay all of Seller’s costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, any amount paid in settlement and any award or judgment with respect thereto. Buyer releases Seller from any and all liability, costs or damages caused by the puppy/dog after placement with Seller, including but not limited to damage to or destruction. Any action or claim brought by Buyer against Seller for breach of this Agreement or for loss due to negligence must be brought within one (1) year of the date such claim or loss occurs and to the courts of Franklin County, Virginia courts only.  If you, the buyer, decide you do not want the puppy/dog and want to return it at any point in the life you may do so. You will however have to drive to me completely to drop off the puppy/dog along with all the items that were given to you/ folder of all papers given to you as well. I will take back any of my puppies or dogs at any point if they are no longer wanted or if the Buyer is no longer able to keep them. I do not issue a refund if they are brought back to me, unless it is a health/genetic issue (see above statement about having the puppy/dog seen by 2 licensed veterinarians) This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Virginia. This Agreement represents the entire agreement between the parties. Seller and Buyer have made no other agreements, promises, representations or warranties, express or implied, unless specifically stated in this Agreement.
